The Nam Theun 1 Power Company (NT1PC) made a donation of 24,600,000 LAK to Phonsy Lower Secondary School in Pakkading District, Bolikhamxay Province to aid in the building and installation of a roof for the school’s recreation hall.
The completion of the roof was marked by a ceremony held at Phonsy Lower Secondary School on 6th June, 2019, which was attended on behalf of NT1PC by
.Mr. Bounnhang Phengsouvanh, who is the Advisor on Government Relations and a member of the Nam Theun 1 Executive Committee
During the ceremony, NT1PC also donated books and made monetary donations to some outstanding students to express NT1PC’s support and commitment towards the education of Lao students, especially those residing in the vicinity of the NT1 Project, whereby Phonsy Lower Secondary School is located nearest to the project site amongst the schools within the area.
